Profile

Since October 2012 I have worked as a freelance journalist in Afghanistan following the lives of Afghan women and men. The life and murder of an Afghan female police officer, a friend, reinforced my conviction and belief in fighting for liberty and human rights.

I love working with people and my experience from living and working in such diverse environments as Afghanistan, the US, England, Austria, France has given me a strong understanding and appreciation for working with people of different cultures and backgrounds.

In the 90’s I ran for a seat in the Danish Parliament for the Conservative Party and in 1994, I was elected as the Alternate for the Conservative Member of Parliament representing Falster. Since then, I have worked for Citibank and The Danish-American Business Forum which I ran for 7 years. I have travelled extensively in Africa and the Middle East.

In May 2014, I was sent by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a short term OSCE Election Observer during the Ukrainian presidential election.

I enjoy public speaking and have spoken at the Atlantic Council, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Police Association, the Danish Defence and others.
